Students report feeling challenged, supported, and cared for by trusted adults at school. They value the clear expectations that create a safe and structured learning environment while expressing a strong desire for greater belonging and stronger peer connections. Students are eager for additional academic support, expanded course and club offerings, and more opportunities to develop leadership skills and have their voices heard.

Families feel welcomed, respected, and valued by school staff and appreciate the supports available through the school, including mental health services, dental care, and social emotional learning opportunities. They would like clearer, multilingual communication and greater access to academic supports, enrichment opportunities, and extracurricular activities. Families are eager to partner with the school and appreciate flexible opportunities to participate in school events.

Community partners value the strong collaboration with Monocacy Middle School and are committed to supporting students and families through coordinated services and resources. Partners emphasized the importance of multilingual communication, culturally responsive outreach, and increasing awareness of available supports. They also noted the growing emotional and behavioral needs of students and the importance of strengthening partnerships to improve access to services and reduce barriers for families.
